Story Pirates Whirling Twirling Cupcakes

 Cake Power presents (ta-da!): a kinetic cupcake display, spinning in honor of the Striking Viking Story Pirates 2012 Benefit Event.  It includes a sugar Zoetrope, a very striking little viking, and a pirate ship sailing around in a sea of mini-cupcakes.

  

The Story Pirates is a nationally loved and respected arts and creative writing organization founded in 2003 to celebrate the words and ideas of young people, to promote literacy as a vital part of early childhood education, and to preserve the spark of youthful creativity often lost in the transition to adulthood.

To make this display, we revisited our motor set-up created for the Coney Island Dreamland Cake, originally designed for ♥ Little Collector and then created customized new edible characters and sugar props based on the Story Pirates stage show.
