Lions and Tigers and Bears!

(and Piggies and Roosters and storks, OH MY!)

We've done a lot of animal cakes over the years and here's a survey of some of our favorites. Sometimes realistic and sometimes stylized illustrations in 3D, whether they are shaped like fish or fowl or exotic wildlife, they all have cake (and or chocolate) in their bellies.

 

I love making feathers and fur and scales.

 

Modeling chocolate and fondant lend themselves to all sorts of wonderful textures.

I'm such a fan of children's book illustrations! This cake was made for a launch party for a book called Who Pushed Humpty Dumpty written by (my husband ♡) David Levinthal and illustrated by John Nickle "There are eight million stories in the forest. This is one of them."

 

Even wedding cakes aren't safe from foxes, bunnies and birds around here!
