Icing Smiles and Ben.

I want to put the word out there to my baker friends about an organization called "Icing Smiles" and to also say thank you so much to Tracy Quisenberry for having this great idea--- and for giving me the opportunity to be part of something so special.
Below is a little blurb about what they do, and if you're interested in making a cake for a child in your area or helping out in any other way, by all means let Tracy know.
"When a child is seriously ill, sometimes a smile is the thing they need most. That is why we are so excited about the mission of Icing Smiles. Birthdays can be very difficult for children who are enduring a difficult illness in the hospital and receiving a very special cake helps children feel especially loved. The gift of a cake that is specially designed for each child can make a tremendous difference in the life of a child when they need it most." - Ryan Wilkins, Ronald McDonald House

I loved meeting Ben and his mom more than I can say, and I really do think that in some small way, this did make a ninth birthday in a hospital and far away from home a little better.
